Dear potential Exhibitor/Sponsor of ECCG8,
We are facing times when the humanity needs urgently solutions based on scientific discoveries and new technologies. We are facing the global warming, pollution, poor education, lack of a good policy how to produce and use electricity.
Paradoxically, in Europe, R&D activity is becoming less and less important. Australian Strategic Policy Institute has recently identified 44 key technologies. 37 of them are led by China, 7 by the USA, none by Europe. We are becoming a technological backwater continent. Fortunately, more and more politicians do understand that and I am sure that the situation of science and high-tech will be significantly improved in the nearest future.
Our task is to re-establish a commonwealth of academia and high-tech industry in order to be able to show the politicians and tax-payers that our community is ready to be revived.
The European Conference on Crystal Growth organized by us in Warsaw will be a chance not only to show that we are able to develop unique technologies, that we fabricate the top-level scientific instruments, but also will be a step towards creating this commonwealth of crystal growers, crystal characterizators, producers of crystal growth equipment and producers of analytical tools.

As Christmas and New Year will soon come, in the name of ECCG8 organizing committee, I wish you holidays free of covid, full of family/friends love and let's hope that 2024 will bring us ends of wars and good solutions for future.
